    Llimiana

    Visit the village of Llimiana and enjoy the views of the valley Conca de Tremp from the castle.
    You can also visit Santa Maria Llimiana, an eleventh-century Romanesque church and one of the largest and most spectacular churches of the Pyrenees, the Bonifaci Museum and the Centre del Montsec.

    Cova Negra de Mata-solana

    This cave it’s formed by an immense, circular declined room. Because of the infiltration of water through the ceiling, stalactites of different types can found, together with the remains of former archaeological explorations.

  • Cova dels Muricecs

    Cova dels Muricecs

    The name of this cave comes from its inhabitants, the Muricecs, as bats are known in this area. It's located in Congost de Terradets, a gorge, and near the river of Noguera Pallares and the hydroelectric power plant. Prehistoric human remains have been found in this cave and, since 2006, the access is regulated by the town council in order to preserve it as a reproducing space for bats.

    La Cova del Gel o Forat del Gel

    I’s a cavity located at the northern part of the mountains of Montsec that can be found by following a path of the route of the GR-1. Inside, we find water leaks and ice, as the cave has a low temperature throughout the year. In times of war, this cave was often used as a hiding place, sometimes as a base for guerrilla’s armies such as the Maquis.

    El Forat de l'Or

    I’s a cavity located at the northern part of the mountains of Montsec that can be found by following a path of the route of the GR-1.     Sant Salvador del Bosc

    This sanctuary is located at a high altitude, between the cliffs of the north face of the Montsec mountains, so you can enjoy a great view above the valley and the reservoir. At the beginning it was a Romanesque church, although it might have had some other previous uses.

    Castell de Mur

    It's a medieval fortification located in a strategic place, as it was used to dominate all the area. From this castle, on top of a hill, you can control the access to the valley, Conca de Tremp, and the water reservoir of Terradets while you enjoy the spectacular view of the landscape.

    Església de Santa Maria de Mur

    This collegiate church, built in the eleventh century and located near the castle of Castell de Mur, is formed by the church, the cloister, and some neighboring buildings. The church was used as a residence by a community of monks for centuries, but in the nineteenth century it became a parish and it ended up abandoned. The church kept some murals and paintings of great value, but due to some thefts, all the artworks were taken to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
